Rural Literacy Drives
Mobile libraries and volunteer teachers deployed to primary schools in underserved LGAs across Benue State. Each literacy drive runs for 6 weeks and focuses on foundational reading, writing, and numeracy. Wajina secondary students participate as junior tutors — learning service while teaching skills.
Clean Water Initiative
Access to clean water is a prerequisite for education. A child who walks 3 kilometres for water before school will not learn well. The Foundation has funded borehole construction in 4 communities so far, with a target of 12 by 2028. Each borehole serves 200–500 people.
Free Health Screenings
Quarterly health outreach events in partnership with local hospitals and health workers. Services include vision testing, malaria screening, deworming, and basic dental checks. In 2025 alone, over 600 community members were screened across 3 events.
School Supply Donations
Every term, the Foundation collects and distributes exercise books, pens, uniforms, and bags to rural primary schools that lack basic resources. Last academic year, over 2,000 items were distributed to 8 schools in Gboko, Otukpo, and Makurdi LGAs.
Volunteer Programme
Wajina students, staff, and parents form the backbone of the Foundation's fieldwork. Our structured volunteer programme logs hours, assigns roles, and ensures every outreach event is well-organised and impactful. Community service is not optional at Wajina — it is part of the education.

Currently active in Makurdi, Gboko, and Otukpo LGAs in Benue State, with plans to expand to Katsina-Ala and Vandeikya by 2027.
Absolutely. We accept exercise books, pens, pencils, school bags, uniforms, and children's reading books. Drop-off points are available at both Wajina campuses.
Donors receive a termly impact report with photos, location data, and beneficiary numbers. Major donors (₦500,000+) receive a personalised impact brief and an invitation to observe fieldwork.
